Personal Care Aide for Loved One At Home

job description: If you enjoy working one-on-one and helping someone with day-to-day activities then we are looking for you!
Job Summary: We need help caring for my 47 year old brother in a casual home setting. He is wheelchair bound with very little use of his arms. Despite his situation he has a great sense of humor and lots of patience. He enjoys spending time outside and likes to have fun.  Part-time position • 8:00pm to 11:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays • Need coverage for at least two weekends each month – see note below • Nine hours per week available with this shift • Additional hours may be available
Note: Understanding that weekend hours may be challenging, we are open to a variety of options to cover these specific days and times and will attempt to work within your availability.
Duties Include: Personal care and daily life activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing and feeding • Transferring with use of a lift training provided) • Assisting with breathing treatments/exercises • Light housekeeping • Laundry
Requirements:  Must be dependable • Must be at least 18 years of age • Must complete application and pass a background check • Should have at least one year experience with duties and physical disabilities • Should have own transportation and be comfortable with pets. Although this is not a private pay position we are also looking for back-up help and will consider that option on a limited basis.

Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities of a Substitute Teacher: Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent • Review and implement regular teacher’s routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives • Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment • Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration • Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Substitute School Aide

Responsibilities of a Substitute School Aide: Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students • Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class • Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials • Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs • Attend to students’ physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs • Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans • Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
